Pattee and Paterno Library staff respectfully accommodated a large, silent demonstration and “die in” in the spring of 2015.

Many Penn State library staff are active and take leadership roles outside of the library on university commissions (e.g., Commission on Racial/Ethnic Diversity, Commission for Women, Commission on LGBT Equity), Martin Luther King Jr. Day committees, and other efforts.

Library dean, Barbara Dewey, served as chair of the search committee for vice president for educational equity.

Penn State Libraries host an annual Dean’s Diversity Forum.

The Penn State Statement on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence was released in February 2016 and can be found here: http://equity.psu.edu/psu-diversity-statement
