Director of Information Technology
Gary Roebuck is director of information technology at ARL. Appointed in 2010, his responsibilities include the identification, evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of technologies that can be leveraged to advance ARL’s mission and organizational goals.
This encompasses oversight of day-to-day IT support for ARL staff as well as ongoing development and management of various information systems hosted by ARL. Earlier in his tenure, Gary served as technical operations manager for Statistics and Measurement where he managed the redesign and expansion of the StatsQUAL® system encompassing LibQUAL+®, DigiQUAL®, MINES for Libraries®, ARL Statistics®, ClimateQUAL®, and other library assessment tools.
Prior to joining ARL in 2007, Gary served as manager of development operations at the National Park Foundation where he managed all aspects of gift processing, database management, reporting, and prospect and donor research. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Blackbaud Inc. as a fundraising systems consultant and Chicago’s Merit School of Music as director of operations.
Gary earned a BM and performance certificate in vocal performance from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music and an MS in information systems from DePaul University in Chicago. He is currently pursuing an MPA concentrating in public and nonprofit management from the University of Baltimore.
