Stephen Town, Martha Kyrillidou Honored for Outstanding Performance Measurement and Metrics Paper

stephen-town-and-martha-kyrillidouStephen Town, Martha Kyrillidou (left to right)Emerald Group Publishing has selected “Developing a Values Scorecard” by University of York (UK) Library’s Stephen Town and ARL’s Martha Kyrillidou as the Outstanding Paper of 2014 for the Performance Measurement and Metrics journal. In the paper, which is freely available to download, Town and Kyrillidou propose a value scorecard that can be used alongside the balanced scorecard to draw a more value-oriented picture of library strengths and impact. Emerald presented the award to Town and Kyrillidou at the Library Assessment Conference in Seattle today, August 5, 2014. Library Assessment Forum to Explore Value of E-Books in Academic Libraries

The forum will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place (Adler 24A-C). The forum is open to all who are interested and no registration is necessary to attend.

LibValue Webcast on Undergraduate Student Success: Register Now

Online registration is now open for a free webcast on the ways that libraries contribute to undergraduate student success, sponsored by the LibValue project and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). This one-hour program will highlight two areas related to student success: the physical space of the library and teaching/learning environmental interventions, drawing on results of surveys about commons spaces, as well as surveys of instructors and students.

 
 

Library Assessment Forum to Feature LibValue Work by U of Tennessee

ARL will host a Library Assessment Forum at the upcoming ALA Midwinter Meeting, featuring LibValue research conducted at the University of Tennessee. The forum will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Sheraton Seattle’s Ravenna Room. No registration is necessary to attend this event.
