ARL Health Sciences Library Statistics 2011-2012 coverARL Academic Health Sciences Library Statistics 2011-2012ARL has released ARL Academic Health Sciences Library Statistics 2011–2012, which presents data describing collections, expenditures, personnel, and services in 61 health sciences libraries at ARL member institutions in the US and Canada.

In 2011–2012, the reporting health sciences libraries held a median of 206,553 volumes, spent a total of $240,179,507, and employed 1,867 FTE staff. Expenditures for materials and staff accounted for the bulk of total expenditures, at approximately 50% and 38% respectively. Respondents reported spending a total of $11,470,533 in one-time resource purchases and $105,414,313 in ongoing resource purchases.
