We have identified what is important to our communities. We have thought strategically about what services we might best offer. We have discussed how we might organize ourselves to deliver those services. How can we maximize the impact of the scholarly communication programs and services we offer? How do we know we’ve achieved our intended outcomes for our target audiences? What tools can help us begin to measure those outcomes?

Clifford Lynch to Speak at ALA Annual Conference in Chicago

Next weekend at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Chicago, CNI executive director Clifford Lynch will participate in two panel discussions about libraries and technology. He will take part in the Digital Content Working Group (DCWG) panel “ALA, E-Books & Digital Content: What’s Next?” on Saturday, June 29, 1:00-2:30 p.m., in the McCormick Place Convention Center room S502. He will also participate in “LITA’s Top Technology Trends Panel” on Sunday, June 30, at 1:00 p.m., in convention center room S105a-c.

Library Assessment Forum to Explore Value of E-Books in Academic Libraries

mrs-duffee-reading-her-kindle“Mrs. Duffee Reading Her Kindle,” © Mike LichtARL will host a Library Assessment Forum at the upcoming American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Chicago, featuring research on the value of e-books in academic libraries conducted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) as part of the LibValue project. The forum will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place (Adler 24A-C).
