Library Assessment Conference 2010 Papers Featured in EBLIP

Using LibQUAL+® and Other Evidence for Assessment, Evaluation, Resource Planning—ARL and CARL to Offer Workshop at EBLIP 7

This preconference session will be held on Monday, July 15, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Using LibQUAL+® Effectively and Strategically: ARL to Offer Workshop Oct. 22–23 in Atlanta

libqual-arl-med-faculty-radar-chart-2012ARL will offer a workshop about acting on LibQUAL+ survey results, led by Martha Kyrillidou, ARL director of statistics and service quality programs; Lisa Hinchliffe, professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and Raynna Bowlby, ARL consultant. “Using LibQUAL+® Effectively and Strategically” will be held over two half days, October 22–23, 2013, in conjunction with the Southeastern Library Assessment Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.

LibQUAL+® to Offer Workshop at Northumbria Conference on Performance Measurement

York UK landscape York, UK, © Mark Davis ARL is sponsoring a LibQUAL+ Exchange of Experience workshop on Monday, July 22, 2013, in conjunction with the 10th Northumbria International Conference on Performance Measurement in Libraries and Information Services, to be held in York, UK. The half-day event will feature opportunities for LibQUAL+ participants and other interested parties to share experiences and discuss strategic uses of assessment results. The program will also include an update on the first UK implementation of the ClimateQUAL survey.

 
 

LibQUAL+® Seeks Applicants for In-Kind Grant Program 2014

libqual-logoLibQUAL+ will award up to three institutions in-kind grants to participate in the 2014 LibQUAL+ survey, with a goal of offering one grant for every 50 libraries registered. This will be the ninth year LibQUAL+ has sponsored an in-kind grant program. There are two application deadlines for the 2014 grant program: June 14, 2013, and December 13, 2013. (The early deadline allows the LibQUAL+ team to plan for translations in new languages with an adequate planning cycle.)

 
 

Service Quality Evaluation Academy Class of 2013 Selected

The academy is an intensive five-day program cosponsored by ARL and CARL that focuses on introductory qualitative and quantitative methods for collecting and analyzing library service quality data. It is designed for librarians across library types and organizational structures who have a strong commitment to service quality assessment efforts. This webcast from February 14, 2012, provides potential and current LibQUAL+® participants with vital information on the LibQUAL+® service. This one-hour webcast provides practical information for administering a survey, helps participants with interpreting the data and its analysis, and shares best practices in using the results.Key members of the LibQUAL+® team, Martha Kyrillidou and David Green, hosted the webcast.
