Balanced Scorecard Initiative: ARL Issues Call for Participation
ARL has issued a call for participation in the third Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Initiative cohort. The year-long initiative will engage a small number of research libraries in a systematic way to consider the benefits of applying a locally developed library scorecard. Libraries with a keen interest in continuous improvement and strategic assessment are invited to apply.
ARL has released a YouTube video of the Balanced Scorecard Webcast, held on December 11, 2012. The presentation covers the strategic aspects of the scorecard, its development and objectives, goals for its implementation, promoting its purpose, and analyzing results. It also describes ways to create improvement strategies based on the experiences of a number of ARL libraries engaged in the ARL Scorecard Initiative.
This webcast from Dec. 11, 2012, provides an overview of the balanced scorecard for research libraries. The webcast covers the strategic aspects of the scorecard, the tool's development, objectives and goals for its implementation, promoting its purpose, analyzing results, and creating improvement strategies. ARL grants permission to outside organizations, institutions, or individuals to use its membership list. There are 125 member libraries on the list. The mailing list is available on Avery labels or in electronic format. Mailing labels are to be used one time only and may not be duplicated by the agency using them. E-mail addresses are not available and are not included in the list.
The charge for the mailing list is $100.00 for non-ARL members and must be prepaid. Visa and MasterCard are accepted and checks should be made payable in US funds to the Association of Research Libraries. Please allow two weeks for processing and mailing. Send order and payment to:
