ARL President Thomas C. Leonard, University Librarian, University of California, Berkeley, convened the 154th ARL Membership Meeting May 20–22, 2009. The meeting took place in downtown Houston at the Four Seasons Hotel, 1300 Lamar Street.
The University of Houston Libraries hosted a reception, dinner, and library tour on Wednesday evening, May 20. The libraries of Rice University, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, and Texas Tech University cosponsored a reception, dinner, and Rice University Library tour on Thursday, May 21.
