ARL-ACRL Human Resources Symposium
November 15-16, 2012, Washington, DC Twitter hashtag: #HRsym12
In a time of profound transformation in academic and research libraries, human resources are among the most complex, challenging and valuable assets of the organization. Management of these resources—to recognize, recruit for, and reward new skills; develop leadership capacity; and redeploy talent within the organization to address new needs—requires strategic thinking and innovative processes. This symposium brings together experts in human resources management and library leaders to share successes and best practices in the field to meet the challenges of staffing the 21st-century library.
