ASU Library seeks a highly motivated, collaborative and service-oriented librarian to lead its newly established Social Sciences Division, comprised of a diverse team of librarians actively engaged with students, faculty and the community in innovative ways.
The Social Sciences Division Head, one of three division heads reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Engagement and Learning Services, will consistently provide a creative solutions-based approach to both new and traditional library services, and will model, explore and enact fresh workflows that both challenge and invite librarians to deliver high-level service through liaising, embedding, workshopping, innovating, teaching and participating in research with students, faculty and the community university-wide.
The successful candidate will help to create a positive, dynamic service atmosphere, fueled by opportunity and trust, and will contribute to an organizational growth mindset by encouraging learning and experimentation. She/he will work successfully with campus partners across the university, and seek to build strong relationships with ASU faculty, across disciplines and programs, in an effort to advance research and student learning.
Most critically, the Social Sciences Division Head will be committed to students’ academic success at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
