The Associate Dean provides leadership and oversight of all aspects of the library system operations and service delivery. The Associate Dean has responsibility for a designated portfolio of library-wide responsibilities including the leadership and management of the library’s assessment program, financial oversight of the Library Acquisitions Budget, and project leader for capital planning projects (such as the University Library Transformation Project). Specific portfolio responsibilities may vary from time to time depending on library priorities and/or the interest and expertise of the incumbent. A relevant advanced degree; a strong record of professional practice (including scholarly activities); and leadership experience in a library and information setting are required. Demonstrated success in contributing to developing a vision and leading people to achieve exemplary performance and outcomes, through a personal and professional commitment to library values and ethical behaviour, is essential.
