This newly created position will lead development, donor relations, communications and marketing for University Libraries. The Development Officer will cultivate donor relations and actively promote the library through communications and marketing, and will collaborate with public programming staff to promote library exhibits and events. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience and 48 months of fund-raising experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills; self-motivated, confident and goal oriented individual; outstanding public speaking and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to meet fundraising goals working independently and collaboratively; strong analytical and organizational skills; experience planning and coordinating constituent-focused events; ability to work a non-traditional work schedule and travel as needed.
