The University of Connecticut, one of the nation’s leading public research universities, seeks applications and nominations for the position of Vice Provost for University Libraries. The Vice Provost for University Libraries will embrace leading-edge technologies and practices that further establish the Libraries as an organization exemplifying excellence and innovation. The Vice Provost will be a leader who effectively articulates the Libraries’ mission with respect to the University’s long-term goals, and who inspires Libraries’ staff to provide resources, spaces, and services that optimally serve the university community now and into the future. The individual chosen for this position will have a clear understanding of both the challenges and the opportunities inherent in the rapidly changing landscape of academic libraries and higher education today. This is a full-time, management-exempt position, with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2013.
