Seeking dynamic, innovative, collegial individual to serve in Social Sciences Librarian position to support Economics, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, and Gender Studies areas in Social Sciences Department. Department includes four librarians and six FTE support staff positions responsible for all aspects of collection development/management, reference, and outreach to students and faculty in the Social Sciences. Responsibilities: Reporting to Head of Social Sciences Department, provide reference and instructional support for and oversee collection development and management in areas of Economics, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies. With emphasis on these areas, participate actively in activities and initiatives of Reference Services Department providing expertise needed in traditional reference setting and digital research environment of Scholars’ Commons, providing reference services, collection support, and training for research community. Qualifications: Required: ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent education or experience; experience in collection development and broad knowledge of information resources for Economics, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies, or other related social sciences.
