Ontology Manager

The Division of Knowledge Informatics, part of NYU Health Sciences Libraries, seeks an accomplished ontology specialist to join a collaborative effort that spans the mission areas (education, research, and patient care) of NYU Langone Medical Center. This position will develop and manage a repository of controlled terminologies and concepts used throughout the medical center, including in the enterprise data warehouse. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the terminology knowledge base using existing ontologies, and for supplementing standards with institution-specific ontologies and extensions of existing ontologies. This position reports to the Assistant Director, Knowledge Informatics, and is a faculty appointment within the NYU School of Medicine.
