The Boston College Graduate School of Social Work is among the top ten schools of social work in the United States, with programs that incorporate and reflect the Jesuit goals of the university. Five research centers and institutes along with nationally recognized faculty provide a research balance for a student-centered school focusing on innovative approaches to social issues. To facilitate learning and research, the Graduate School of Social Work is fortunate to be one of only a dozen U.S. schools of social work to maintain its own Social Work Library.Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Instruction, Access and User Engagement, the Head Librarian of the Social Work Library is responsible for the overall planning, development, implementation and management of library services and collections. The Head Librarian must be a hands-on leader, enthusiastically participating in the day to day work while also inspiring staff and users to seek creative library solutions that address the changing demands of the Graduate School of Social Work.
