The University of North Texas Libraries seeks a dynamic public services librarian to provide high-level liaison services for the diverse College of Public Affairs and Community Service (PACS). The position is a 12-month full-time appointment and requires a strong commitment to service for the students, faulty and staff of the University. The Research and Instructional Services (RIS) Librarian exercises broad, independent judgement and authority under the direction of the RIS department head. The RIS Librarian will provide liaison services for the PACS departments of Anthropology; Applied Arts & Sciences (BAAS); Behavior Analysis; Criminal Justice; Public Administration; Rehabilitation, Social Work & Addictions; Sociology; and the Survey Research Center. Liaison duties include providing instruction, research assistance, and other collaborations with the students and faculty of PACS. The RIS Librarian will also serve as the Willis Library Workshop Coordinator, and as the library representative for the Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Program (G*Step), collaborating with the Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment and Redesign (CLEAR) on facilitating events promoting library services to support teaching assistants and teaching fellows.
