The University of Wisconsin-Madison General Library System (GLS) seeks an innovative Associate University Librarian (AUL) for Public Services to provide leadership and direction for the policy development and implementation of library services, programs and learning spaces in support of the University's mission and goals. The Associate University Librarian for Public Services joins the newly formed Library Executive Group consisting of the Vice Provost for Libraries and University Librarian, Associate University Librarian for Technology and Data Services, Associate Librarian for Collection and Research Services, and the Associate Director for Administration. The AUL provides direction and oversight for GLS libraries and staff including: Business Library, Chemistry Library, Geography Library, Geology Library, College Library (Undergraduate), Mathematics Library, Memorial Library, Physics/Astronomy Libraries, Social Science Reference Library, Social Work Library, Steenbock Agriculture and Life Sciences Library. The AUL also oversees the development and operations of instructional and educational support services, outreach and engagement services, reserves operations, reference and information services, facilities and space planning and management, and access services including circulation, stacks management, and security.
