The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a Director of the Phoenix Biomedical Campus (PBC) Library to provide transformational leadership in support of health science programs from The University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, and other educational, clinical and research programs of the Phoenix Biomedical Campus. We welcome candidates who are committed to furthering the vision of an evolving integrated and comprehensive clinical, educational and research enterprise by delivering innovative informational services and quality digital and print resources to students, staff and faculty. The director will also be responsible for designing and implementing information and instructional services, supervising the day-to-day operations of the PBC Library and developing and maintaining productive interlibrary collaborations with regional libraries and organizations.The PBC is located in vibrant downtown Phoenix, Arizona, the heart of the fifth largest city in the country. The downtown area is brimming with sports and cultural attractions, distinctive restaurants, fascinating museums and diverse residential options. The Library is located in the 265,000 square foot Health Sciences Education Building opened in July 2012 which anchors the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, a 28-acre bioscience and educational consortium of biomedical-related research, academic and clinical facilities. The campus is also home to The University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix, NAU’s College of Health and Human Services programs, the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) and the Arizona Biomedical Collaborative, a joint research facility. The UA College of Public Health and the UA College of Pharmacy and the UA College of Nursing also have a presence on campus.Salary is $85,000 annually DOE.
