Texas A&M University Libraries seeks a creative, energetic, and dynamic professional to join the Texas A&M University Libraries as a Learning and Outreach Librarian. This is a tenure-track academic appointment carrying full faculty status and responsibilities including research, publication and service to meet both the Libraries’ and the University’s requirements for tenure and promotion.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Learning and Outreach, this Learning and Outreach Librarian is part of a team that provides leadership and direction in support of the Texas A&M Libraries’ instruction and outreach program. As a part of the team, the Librarian will develop and participate in library instruction and outreach activities for a broad audience of students, with a particular emphasis on the graduate student population. Responsibilities include promoting library resources and instructional opportunities for graduate students; building collaborative partnerships with graduate student groups across campus; providing information literacy training and support for subject librarians. This position will work closely with subject specialist librarians to provide training and support for outreach programming, embedding information literacy learning outcomes into the curriculum, promoting library instruction, and assessing library instructional efforts for graduate students.
