Georgetown University Law Library is seeking applications for an International and Foreign Law Collection and Services Librarian position, based in the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library. The Law Library consists of the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library and the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Law Librarian for International and Foreign Law, this position is responsible for the staffing, supervision, and scheduling of the international circulation desk, coordinating the work of two staff members who report to this position and are responsible for the daily operations of the John Wolff International and Comparative Law Library. The position indirectly supervises student employees. Coordinating services across the two library locations on the law center campus, this position will make full use of an integrated library system and provide administrative, bibliographic, training, and scheduling services in coordination with the other circulation point. Participation in an established reference rotation, including evenings and weekends, and availability for projects relating to reference, research, and access to electronic information are included in the responsibilities. Required: MLS or equivalent degree from an accredited library or information studies program; at least three years of library experience, one of which should be in reference/circulation (public services or an equivalent combination of education or experience); supervisory experience; the ability to work under pressure; law library experience; knowledge of legal materials; familiarity with online library systems such as Innovative/Sierra and OCLC; and familiarity with Lexis/Westlaw. The successful candidate will show a strong service orientation and the ability to collaborate and set priorities. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
