The George Washington University Libraries invites applications for a Software Developer to work within the Scholarly Technology Group of The George Washington University Libraries. We are looking for an individual with an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library/information science or a master’s or terminal degree in a related information technology field, and a minimum of two years post-bachelor’s experience as a full-time software developer working on the full software lifecycle in various roles. Applicants should provide evidence of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting all aspects of software systems using multiple programming languages, and should also have demonstrated experience of a variety of database and information retrieval systems, Unix system administration, and development of all aspects of web applications and user experience.
