Collection and Organizational Data Analysis (CODA) Librarian
The Northwestern University Library seeks a forward-thinking, intellectually curious individual to provide institution-wide leadership and support for the analysis and assessment of the Library's collections activities and for the gathering, archiving, interpretation, and use of various other organizational metrics. The work of the collection and organizational data analysis (CODA) librarian will enable and support evidence-based decisions related to budget planning and allocation, collection building and management, vendor selection and performance, and service assessment. Qualifications and competencies of the successful applicant will include:
ALA-accredited masters degree in library or information science, or an equivalent combination of relevant advanced degree and experience; three to five years of experience in a large academic library; knowledge of library collection development and collection management issues and practices; demonstrated excellent analytical skills, including high competence level in spreadsheet and database applications; ability to interpret, explain, and present complex statistical information; knowledge of research design and principles of methodology; excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to working collaboratively across departments and with partner institutions.
