AHEC and Outreach Services Knowledge Management Librarian

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library (http://hsl.lib.unc.edu/) seeks an experienced, collaborative, enthusiastic, and outreach-oriented individual for the position of AHEC and Outreach Services’ Knowledge Management Librarian. The AHEC and Outreach Services Knowledge Management Librarian is responsible for maintaining the AHEC Digital Library (http://library.ncahec.net) PBWorks Wiki subscription. This includes answering questions about PB Works, consulting on setting-up wiki spaces, promoting wiki use, and creating new wiki spaces as appropriate. This position also monitors changes to the PBWorks interface and continually assesses this product’s usefulness in meeting the AHEC Program’s needs. The AHEC and Outreach Services Knowledge Management Librarian is responsible for maintaining the AHEC Program’s “Clinical Practice Support and Quality” staff wiki. This includes formatting new pages and files and assigning appropriate metadata tags to each page and file. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining the controlled vocabulary used for metadata within the wiki. This position has the primary responsibility for monitoring the AHEC Practice Support listserv and migrating relevant content from the listserv into their wiki space. Part of the wiki updating work includes communicating about current wiki content to the Patient Quality consultants. This position is also responsible for other activities relating to promoting and advocating the use of the wiki.
