The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Dean for Research and Education in its University Libraries [14346].

Reporting to the Dean of University Libraries, this position is part of the Libraries’ senior management team and leads the Research and Education Division (RED) providing direction, oversight and leadership in several areas of strategic emphasis:
  • Building initiatives and fostering collaborations that positively impact student learning and support the research and scholarly endeavors of the University. 
  • Leading space planning efforts to ensure that UNLV Libraries’ spaces, both physical and virtual, evolve in response to next-generation technologies, user expectations, and patterns in learning and research collaboration.
  • Overseeing the service integrity of the Libraries at all service desks and interactions.
  • Collaborating with campus partners and playing a leadership role in campus relations to integrate the Libraries in support of the campus educational and research mission. The Associate Dean represents the Libraries’ interests on a wide range of initiatives and standing groups, such as Associate Deans for Research and Associate Deans for Academic Affairs.
