This is a temporary, full time Assistant Librarian position that is expected to last up to 6 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide social sciences, business, and humanities research and reference assistance to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Answer questions using print and electronic resources in person, via telephone and e-mail, and using virtual reference software. Update Web content using LibGuides, Drupal, and wiki software. In addition, the candidate should have the skills and experience to do a variety of short- and long-term projects and tasks such as library instruction, creating instructional or training materials, contributing to committee work, assisting with collection development and management, and other projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent degree. Recent reference and instruction experience, preferably within an academic or research library setting. Broad knowledge of electronic resources and experience searching the Web. Ability to create and edit web content desirable. Potential for evening and weekend hours.
