The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a creative, collaborative, enthusiastic professional for the position of Electronic Records Archivist. The individual in this position will provide leadership in managing born-digital University records and will provide expert advice and consulting to special collections and other Library staff on issues concerning born-digital collection materials.

 

Reporting to the University Archivist, the Electronic Records Archivist will participate in the appraisal, acquisition, management, and preservation of records of the University and UNC General Administration, with a particular focus on born-digital institutional records with historical, evidential, or administrative value to the University. The Electronic Records Archivist will work with other University Archives and Records Management Services staff on outreach to University departments on the acquisition of born-digital institutional records, and on training for University staff in the proper management of born-digital institutional records, including electronic mail.
