The University and the Libraries

The Rossell Hope Robbins Library is a non-circulating medieval studies research library at the University of Rochester. The Library contains comprehensive holdings in all aspects of Middle English literature, as well as significant holdings in Old English, Anglo-Norman, and medieval French literature; medieval history, art and stained glass, philosophy, theology; manuscript studies; witchcraft; and Arthurian studies.
The Robbins Library Digital Projects include the Camelot Project, the Robin Hood Project, TEAMS Middle English Texts, the Crusades Project, Visualizing Chaucer and the Cinderella Bibliography.
The Koller-Collins Center for English Studies began as the English Department's "core collection" for the graduate students' study of literature. It was housed in Morey Hall, near the English Department, until 1987 when it moved to Rush Rhees Library to join the Robbins Library. The collection (which merged with the Robbins books) has evolved from representing the canon of the field into a reference collection for literary study.

The University of Rochester Libraries belongs to the Association of Research Libraries and has collections of more than three million volumes and more than 44,000 active serial titles.
