Nicole L. Bouché is Pacific Northwest Curator in Special Collections at the University of Washington, Seattle, where she oversees extensive holdings of printed and archival collections documenting all aspects of the history and current culture of the Pacific Northwest. From 1993 to 2005, she was Manuscript Unit Head in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, at Yale University, where she oversaw the processing library’s technical processing unit for manuscripts, archives, and non-print materials in all formats. From 1987 to 1993, she was the Assistant Head of the Manuscripts Division at the Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley, where she served as principal manuscripts cataloger, and handled a wide range of public service and curatorial tasks.
Nicole is an active member of the Rare Book and Manuscript Section of ACRL and is a member of other national and regional professional associations, including the Society of American Archivists, the Western History Association, Northwest Archivists, the Pacific Northwest Historians Guild, and the Book Club of Washington. She received her MLS and MA in History from the University of California, Berkeley, and her BA in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
