John A. Lehner is the Associate Dean for Personnel, Planning, and Systems at the University of Houston (UH) Libraries. He received his MLS from the University at Albany, SUNY. He holds an MBA with a concentration in human resources management from Tulane, a master's of industrial and labor relations from Cornell, and a JD from Washington University in St. Louis. He has a long-standing interest in human resources management issues in academic libraries and oversees recruiting, training, and employee relations for the UH Libraries. John also leads the Systems Department for the UH Libraries, including the Web Services, Integrated Library System, and Computing and Networking Services units. John was a 2007 UCLA Senior Fellow and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
