Thomas Teper bio

Thomas (Tom) Teper is the Associate University Librarian for Collections and Associate Dean of Libraries at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In that capacity, Tom is responsible for providing leadership in collection development and management, overseeing the administration of the library's materials budget, and working with administrators, subject specialists, and technical services personnel. Previously, Tom held the library's John "Bud" Velde Endowed Professorship for the Head of Preservation. During that time, Tom worked to establish the library's first comprehensive preservation program. His prior professional and pre-professional experience includes work at the University of Kentucky, the University of Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, and the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. He holds an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA from the College of Wooster.
