Association of Research Libraries (ARL®)

Scott Walter is Associate University Librarian for Services and Associate Dean of Libraries at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He holds an MLS and an MS in history and philosophy of education from Indiana University at Bloomington, and a PhD in higher education administration from Washington State University. Scott has published on information literacy instruction, collaboration between librarians and faculty members, and professional development for academic librarians. He has been an active member of the Association of College & Research Libraries, the American Educational Research Association, and the History of Education Society, and has held teaching appointments in the fields of teacher education, higher education, and educational leadership and policy studies.
