MINITEX Partnership
We partner with MINITEX Library Information System (approximately 60 employees), which is funded separately by the state and housed within our facilities. MINITEX is the regional support network for OCLC and provides document delivery (returnable and nonreturnables) services to MN, ND, and SD.
MINITEX shared the cost of a building renovation that provides two training rooms and a 20-station computer training room. We share use of these spaces. MINITEX co sponsors two symposia (one on collection development and the other of reference services) that we offer each year. They contribute to half of the cost not recovered through registration fees (our staff and MINITEX staff attend without cost) and participate in annual planning. We often work together to bring a national speaker to address both staffs.
