University of Florida Libraries’ assistant program director for human resources, Bonnie Smith, will present a poster about the ARL Position Description (PD) Bank at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress in Lyon, France, on August 18 and 19, 2014.

The poster highlights the ARL PD Bank as a collaborative model. The ARL PD Bank, a collection of position descriptions from major academic and research libraries throughout Canada and the United States, fosters the sharing of information through a searchable database. The ARL PD Bank demonstrates the concept of a sustainable, shared, user-centric infrastructure developed to meet the needs of a community of practitioners.

If you are attending the IFLA Congress in Lyon, stop by the ARL PD Bank poster session:

Dates: Monday and Tuesday, August 18 and 19
Time: Noon–2:00 p.m. CEST
