COUNTER Offers Travel Awards to Promote International Collaboration

image © Ahmad HashimCOUNTER (Counting Online Usage of Networked Electronic Resources)—an international initiative serving librarians, publishers, and intermediaries by setting standards that facilitate the recording and reporting of online usage statistics—is offering two travel awards for 2014 conferences. As one of COUNTER's goals is to encourage publishers and librarians to collaborate internationally, it is offering the following awards to promote working across national boundaries:

  • One award of £1,000 to provide funding for younger information professionals from outside the UK to attend the 2014 UK Serials Group Annual Conference (April 14–16, 2014, Harrogate, UK)
  • One award of £1,000 to provide funding for younger information professionals from outside North America to attend the 2014 Charleston Conference (November 5–8, 2014, Charleston, SC)
