Catherine Steeves Named Western University Librarian

catherine-steevesCatherine SteevesWestern University has appointed Catherine Steeves as university librarian for a five-year term, effective August 18, 2014. She is currently the deputy chief information officer and associate chief librarian at University of Guelph and was an ARL research library leadership fellow in 2009–2010. Steeves succeeds Joyce Garnett, who stepped down as university librarian in June 2013. Robin Keirstead, university archivist, has served as acting university librarian during the search process.
