Measuring Library Value and Return on Investment (ROI) (Lib-Value) Videos Now Available

Washington DC—The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has released video recordings of the Lib-Value Workshop at the Gelman Library of George Washington University on June 26, 2010. The workshop was hosted to bring awareness of the current state of the art on methods related to Measuring Library Value and Return on Investment (ROI) in academic libraries. Interested parties were engaged with a review of methodologies developed and applied to date and informed of the expanding understanding of how we can measure, describe and articulate the value of libraries in today’s competitive environment. Lib-Value is a three-year study, funded by a grant from IMLS, with the ultimate goal of understanding how to measure value and return on investment (ROI) in all aspects of academic libraries. The workshop was a collaborative effort of ARL with the University of Tennessee, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and George Washington University.
