Washington DC—The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has submitted comments to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the upcoming March 20 meeting at NIH on the revised Public Access Policy.
ARL encourages other interested parties to file short and constructive comments on the newly mandatory policy. It is important that NIH hear from institutions about how they are developing implementation and communication strategies to meet the April 7 start date of the new Public Access Policy.
Comments may be filed online through March 17 and presented orally at NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, on March 20. Those presenting comments in person on March 20 are limited to five minutes each.
Comments must be filed by 5:00 p.m. eastern time on March 17. Those interested in attending the March 20 meeting must also register by 5:00 p.m. eastern, March 17. See http://publicaccess.nih.gov/comments.htm.
