Description

Seeking collaborative, service-minded individual to work alongside librarians, faculty, university partners to initiate, sustain, assess libraries’ support of student learning in undergraduate courses, with focus on learning in the first year; will investigate and capitalize on intersection of information literacy, learning, orientation for undergraduate students, with emphasis on creating effective sustainable connection between libraries and targeted undergraduate learning environments and learning communities. Candidates with knowledge of student engagement, pedagogical practices, assessment of student learning outcomes in general education and discipline-specific contexts given highest consideration. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Head of Teaching & Learning. Qualifications:; ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science (MLS); knowledge of instructional design, pedagogy, assessment principles for effective information literacy instruction; awareness of trends and best practices related to librarians involved in curricular planning; ability to work in team environment and build working relationships with campus colleagues; strong interpersonal, oral, written communication skills; ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations; ability to handle multiple responsibilities in rapidly changing environment; ability to use variety of technological applications in and beyond classroom context; ability to meet standards for achieving tenure and promotion.
