What Can Scientists Do?

• Publish in SPARC-endorsed & not-for-profit journals

• Know the prices of journals in which you publish (are they worth it?)

• Include electronic-only publications in promotion & tenure discussions

• Stop reviewing for & sitting on editorial boards of over-priced journals

• Encourage your society to ìself publishî & maintain reasonable prices
