At each of the semiannual conferences held by the American Library Association (ALA), SPARC and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) conduct a meeting to introduce emerging issues in scholarly communication or explore paths for implementing new policies. The forum, which is open to all ALA meeting registrants, features a panel of experts who each present and discuss questions from the audience. The forum program is planned by the SPARC staff and approved by the SPARC steering committee.
