This workshop will help you gain an understanding of strategies critical to implementing and managing the successful long-term growth of your Institutional Repository (IR). Experienced leaders and supporting players in the IR field will describe practices applicable to a variety of technology platforms. A special focus will be on tactics for working with faculty and researchers to make IRs a success.

The program, suitable for library directors, institutional repository managers, and university administrators, will allow attendees to learn the latest issues and best ideas regarding institutional repositories.

Scholarly Communication, Open Access, and Cost Saving: Are They Related?
–Charles Phelps, Provost, University of Rochester
Phelps has not only researched and published about issues in scholarly communication and digital technology in his capacity as professor of economics and political science, but he has also advocated for change in his position as provost of the University of Rochester.

Once you have registered, November 10 is also the deadline should you need to cancel. If you notify SPARC on that day or prior, you’ll receive a full refund.
