Set to take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City on March 11, 12, and 13, the SPARC Open Access Meeting will provide a forum for a full discussion on the many threads of the global OA movement, with an emphasis on how communities can continue to effectively collaborate and take action to make Open Access the norm for the communication of scholarship and research. The meeting expands on the popular biennial SPARC Digital Repositories meetings, and will provide a North American-based complement to the popular “Innovations in Scholarly Communication (OAI),” workshop held in Geneva every second year. Over 300 librarians, publishers, technologists, funders, and policy makers are expected to attend.
