For a resource guide to campus-based publishing, SPARC seeks sample planning and policy documents from existing publishing initiatives. Documents sought include business plans, publishing prospectuses, charters and governance documents, memoranda of understanding for publishers or partnerships, author agreements and instructions, editorial and peer review policies, licensing and copyright policies, metadata standards, technical specifications, etc. Please contact Raym Crow (crow [at] arl [dot] org) with any suggestions or questions.

The Right to Research Coalition has just launched a new Access Around the World blog series, where student guest contributors from all over the globe will document how access barriers to research affect them. Read the first post from Sohaib Zahid, a medical student in Pakistan, who describes the impact access barriers have on medical education there and calls Open Access "absolutely essential for medical students."
