For a resource guide to campus-based publishing, SPARC seeks sample planning and policy documents from existing publishing initiatives. Documents sought include business plans, publishing prospectuses, charters and governance documents, memoranda of understanding for publishers or partnerships, author agreements and instructions, editorial and peer review policies, licensing and copyright policies, metadata standards, technical specifications, etc. Please contact Raym Crow (crow[at]

Open Access Week 2010! Here are a few ideas for students to participate in Open Access Week (To see the complete list visit the
original blog post):
- Join the Right to Research Coalition Facebook group, and post a facebook status update with a link to our website letting your friends know you support Open Access.
- Follow us on twitter (@R2RC)! Keep an eye on our twitter account for updates all week long, and be sure to tweet about Open Access Week yourself using the hashtag #OAW2010.
- Sign the Student Statement on the Right to Research as an individual. The Student Statement isn’t just for student organizations anymore! You can show your support for Open Access no matter who you are – it’s open to students, researchers, librarians, administrators, and everyone else!
