Cathy De Rosa has been responsible for putting together the OCLC environmental scans on libraries and the future. She will speak on in the general area of the future(s) of research libraries and the role of assessment and market research in helping us shape that future.
Brinley has served as a consulting associate for several international management-consulting firms over the years, specializing in library cost and user studies. He has been the chair of the ARL Statistics and Measurement Committee and is currently a member of the ARL Board of Directors and chairs the Task Force on New Ways of Measuring Collections.
Paul co-principal investigator of the Global Leader and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) research project. He has been instrumental in developing and refining the Organizational Culture and Diversity Assessment (OCDA) instrument used at the University of Maryland. Paul will speak on the general area of Leadership, Cross-Cultural Issues, Organizational Culture and Diversity Assessment.
John Lombardi will speak in the general area of what a university administrator needs to know from the library. He has been the major force behind The Center which measures the performance of American research universities.
Duane Webster is Executive Director of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), an organization of 123 major research libraries whose mission is to influence the changing environment of scholarly communication and the public policies that affect research libraries and the diverse communities they serve. ARL serves a leadership role in the development, testing, and application of academic library performance measures, statistics, and management tools.
Lizabeth (Betsy) Wilson has held numerous leadership positions in professional organizations and associations including ACRL President (2000-01), Chair of the Board of Trustees of OCLC (2004-) and is a member of the ARL Board and of the Digital Library Federation Executive Committee. She also chairs the ARL Steering Committee on Research, Teaching and Learning. She presents and publishes widely on the topics of teaching and learning in libraries; assessment and evaluation; digital library services; and educational collaborations.
Karin Wittenborg has led the University of Virginia by establishing a strong Management Information Systems (MIS) Unit. She has worked closely with Kendon Stubbs, long time consultant for the ARL Statistics, and hosted the development of the innovative ARL Statistics Interactive edition at the Geostat Data Center.
