Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries seeks faculty candidates for a Public Affairs Research Librarian.
The VCU Libraries Academic Outreach Department subject specialist librarians serve as liaisons to the Monroe Park Campus' schools and centers. The successful candidate will work closely with the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs faculty in assigned departments to advance scholarship and learning for the VCU community. They will teach course integrated sessions and workshops on important research concepts, provide in depth research consultation and services, contribute to collection decisions for specialized resources. Furthermore, they will build relationships with their departments to ensure library collections and research services are relevant for evolving scholarship and learning needs.
Salary commensurate with experience, not less than $50,000. Review of applications will begin December 11, 2017 and will continue until the position is filled. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
