Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies Archivist Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies Library of the University of California, Davis The Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies and the UC Davis Library seek an Archivist for a two-year Librarian Series appointment responsible for the management of the Welga Digital Archive of the Bulosan Center for Filipino Studies (BCFS). Duties include collection development, collection processing, metadata creation, exhibit curation, instruction, digitization, and digital preservation. The Archivist is also responsible for community outreach and promotion activities that increase awareness of Filipino American history and the Filipino Diasporic experience, including conducting oral histories and making them accessible. As an additional project, the Archivist will take the lead in creating a database to catalog historical Filipino American sites in California. This is a temporary position with a two-year term that may be extended for a limited time should BCFS secure additional funding. Reporting to the Head of Archives and Special Collections in the UC Davis Library and coordinating with the BCFS Director, the Archivist will build on existing collaborations between the library and the BCFS, working 80% of time in the BCFS and 20% of time in the library’s Archives and Special Collections department. Rank and salary: Assistant Librarian, Salary Point 1, $55,014 to Associate Library, Salary Point 10, $77,787. (Appointment rank and salary based on qualifications and experience.)
