The Assistant Chief, Researcher & Reference Services Division works directly with the chief in ensuring that library services related to Humanities, Social Sciences, Local History, Genealogy, Interlibrary Loan, and Collections Management are provided to the Library's researchers. The assistant chief serves as the senior advisor to the chief, assuring adherence to Library policies and directions, and contributes managerial and professional responsibility for the growth and direction of public and scholarly research and reference services in the general collections, to include electronic as well as onsite service. The assistant chief supports the chief in managing multiple reference functions providing access to content and services related to Humanities, Social Sciences, Local History, Genealogy, Interlibrary Loan, and Collections Management in the general collections is in multiple formats, including in-person and virtual access to reference services.
