As part of a larger functional team, comprised of personnel from the Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation, the Libraries Systems Office, and Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collections at Washington State University, this position will provide leadership in the development, implementation, promotion, and assessment of digital scholarly initiatives.  The Digital Scholarship Librarian will support scholarship and teaching utilizing existing and emerging platforms including Scalar, Omeka, ArcGIS, StoryMaps and Mukurtu CMS. The position will be the main point of contact for the sustainability of the Plateau Peoples’ Web Portal and other joint library and CDSC projects. This full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position reports to the Associate Dean of Digital Initiatives and Special Collections at the Washington State University Libraries in Pullman, Washington. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited Library and Information Studies program at date of hire; excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, organizational, problem-solving and planning skills; ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively both as a team member and independently and to promote teamwork among colleagues. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with faculty and students in support of digital scholarship; experience working with or supporting a Content Management System (CONTENTdm and Mukurtu CMS preferred); documented experience managing complex projects on timelines; experience in teaching or delivering training to a range of constituents; familiarity with current trends in digital library initiatives and digital curation and digital preservation; experience with grants; strong attention to issues related to digital access and publishing within a university setting; and commitment to working with diverse communities.
